Types of papers
IJCI intends to publish articles that describe thorough open-source implementations of large classes of statistical models and methods and the computational infrastructure that may be used to build such implementations. IJCI assesses and publishes software and papers together. For publishing, complete repeatability is required, and the source code is made available alongside the paper. Articles detailing a specific software implementation must explain the software's scope as well as the underlying models or ideas so that statistically literate readers may grasp what the software performs. A comprehensive comparison with other open-source implementations of identical models or methods should emphasize all implementations' capabilities and their respective benefits and drawbacks.
